Newfoundland moose can weigh up to 1,200 pounds. However, despite their great size Newfoundland moose are surprisingly agile, and are able to move swiftly through nearly impenetrable forest. Currently, the moose population on the island is in excess of 120,000.

Our area is the most spectacular big game hunting area in Newfoundland. With high hills, big river valleys and large, open meadows, it is the Alaska of Eastern North America.

Because we are the only Outfitter in this area which offers access to the interior by Helicopter, we can provide you with the best chance at a large, Eastern Canadian Moose. We use raised tent camps on wooden platforms heated with woodstoves. This past season hunters saw as many as 10 trophy Moose from mid 40's to 50's in three days of hunting. Our hunters, both rifle and bow, have a success rate of 95-100%. Our area has no resident hunting, and all hunts are spot and stalk.
